The Nurse

Welcome! My name is Sarah and I'm so happy you're here. I've been a registered nurse for almost 5 years now and have always had a passion for the healthcare field. I love God, love people and through my care, I always aim to show that. I love starting a shift with a warm cup of herbal tea, as it helps to get me ready for the day or night ahead.

My experience in both Med Surg and now Labour & Delivery have given me the tools and ability to shift into travel nursing.  Since Jan 2023, I've been serving across Canada and it's been an incredible journey, filled with challenges and rewards. I've had the opportunity to work in a variety of healthcare settings, from small rural hospitals to large urban centres, and I've gained priceless experiences along the way.

There's a special place in my heart for this area of nursing. It's incredibly rewarding to see the joy on a new mother's face when she holds her baby for the first time, and I feel honoured to be a part of that woman's life journey. I approach each case with care and compassion, and I'm always striving to provide the best possible care for my patients.

Despite the difficulties of life on the road, I remain committed to my work and the patients I serve. I'm constantly learning and growing as a nurse, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others. Being a travel nurse has been a surreal adventure thus far and it leaves me even more excited to see where this journey leads.

The Heart

Nursing can be a very challenging career. In times of feeling at my wit's end, I remember there is purpose in it all and I want to remind my fellow nurses about that too.

My aim is to cultivate a space that encourages, inspires and supports nurses along the way. I've found strength through my faith and the support of my invaluable nursing peers. I believe that by coming together and sharing our experiences, we can build a community that empowers us to overcome any obstacle.

Let's continue to learn from each other and grow together!
